Dorothy Dent's 2007
Certification Program
The
long-awaited Dorothy Dent Certification Program has now become a
reality! Consisting of three 1-week, in-depth training sessions, this
series of classes will specialize in hands-on personal attention from
Dorothy Dent, named one of the Top Ten Decorative Artists in the
nation, and #1 in Landscape by Decorative Artists Workbook.
The program is open to all painters...those who may wish to teach for
fun and/or profit, as well as those who want to earn Certification for
their own personal satisfaction.
To earn Teacher Certification, a student must complete each course
level in a satisfactory manner. Whether each individual decides to
teach or not, this will be an opportunity to learn new, unique methods
of painting, make new friends with similar interests, and leave with
beautiful artwork. Another possibility would be to start a whole new
career!
Daily Classes and Weekly Seminars
Dates, fees, teachers and other details are
listed in each class or seminar description below. Daily classes
require a $10 deposit; seminars require a minimum $50-$150 deposit.
Daily and weekly classes begin at 9 am, unless otherwise noted. You
should be “set up and ready to paint” by the starting time. The shop
opens at 8:00 a.m. Classes usually end around 4:30pm, but some may
require a little more time. These changes will be designated in the
class descriptions, so read carefully and plan accordingly. Also, please
remember that all class surfaces (canvas, wood, etc.) must be
purchased here at Painter’s Corner.
A minimum deposit is required to register for
each class, so either drop by the shop or
Send
it by mail. Please remember to include your daytime phone number
when mailing a deposit. You may sign up by phone with Visa/Master Card.
These deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in extreme
emergency situations.
As stated above, classes
generally end around 4:30pm. All instruction needed to finish the
project will be covered in this time frame. We realize that each person
paints at his/her own speed, and may be unable to finish the project during
class. In this case, students may come in and paint on their own for no
charge. If a student needs more individual help, talk with the
instructor as to when you can come for a make-up session.
